Contact Roles

While working your opportunities and building your pipeline, there will often be a need to contact different people (contacts) to close the deal; that is when Contact Roles are used. Contact Roles give you a way to associate the people your working with for the deal under its Opportunity record, and label the role that contact plays in the deal process.

This helps your sales team know the role of the contact they are working with in the prospecting organization. 

By default, the contact roles available to use out of the box are as follows:

Business User, Decision Maker, Economic Buyer, Economic Decision Maker, Evaluator, Executive Sponsor, Influencer, Technical Buyer, Other

These default contact roles can be customized to fit the needs of your operation.
