Leads Overview

Leads typically include both company and personal information. All active leads haven't been qualified yet. Once a lead has been qualified you should convert it into a Prospect Account using the Convert button found in the Lead Detail. In other words - Qualified Leads get converted into Prospect Accounts. Disqualified Leads get their status changed from Active to InactiveOn Hold, or Lost by navigating to the top right corner of the Lead Record and selecting the applicable status type.


At the time a Lead is converted into a Prospect Account it automatically gets an associated Contact (created from the personal information found in the lead) and Opportunity (optional if you decide to record and track the stage and value of the deal or relationship). 

In the Lead Conversion page you may select Account information (required), Opportunity information (optional), Case information (optional), and Task information (optional).
